Floral Friday, a new bloom

Thank you to Trishie from Under Lock and Key for asking me to contribute to her new blog series, Floral Friday. The theme this month is "a new bloom". Here's my contribution. It's a photo of a strawberry plant in my garden with a pretty light pink flower and a new one about to bloom. In the upper left corner there's a stalk which has a developing strawberry inside. You can see the developing strawberry in my second photo, below.

While on the theme of new beginnings, as we say goodbye to 2013, and enter into a fresh new year, I'd just like to take a moment to say a huge THANK YOU, from the bottom of my heart to all of my blog readers. In March 2013 I started my blog as a way of giving back, after having learnt so much from others on the internet, about many topics, but in particular, beauty and baking. What I didn't know at the time was that the most fulfilling and exciting part of blogging would be the connections I'd make with my readers and fellow bloggers online, and "in real life". Thank you to everyone who has read my blog, and an extra special thank you to those who have taken the time to comment. You've made the many hours spent each week on the blog rewarding, and truly worthwhile. Thank you and have a happy, and fulfilling 2014!

Click on the blog hop pics below to see the other Floral Friday posts, they're definitely worth a look!
